Thank you for your timely answer! It reminds me that the policeman on the spot told me I could still take your test.
Does the violation on my record means some points? If so, how many points will it count? I have learned the following opinion from other website, but I am not so sure of it. It said no points will be counted on my record if I take the traffic school. Is this what 'taking advantage of it' mean?
Thank you again.

Will the punnishment or penalty to a permit holder or a license holder the same when they violate the traffic law?

It has been a while since I lived in California, so I didn't want to make too definite a promise about traffic school. Usually, traffic school is offered to allow you avoid "points" -- but you have to actually go to the classes!
There are a few places where you can make a left hand turn on a red light, but the circumstances are pretty rare: an intersection between one-way streets controlled by a light, or something like that, and no sign prohibiting turns on red. Be sure to ask about that one in traffic school and remember that it's only applicable in California and a few other states. The rule of thumb is that turns on red are never allowed if it means crossing across a lane of traffic.

I have learned a good lesson from it though the price is pretty high.
I'm completely admit I have violated the law and won't use not knowing the law as an excuse.
My finiancial condition is not so good and I'm a college student paying high tuition fee. If this case goes to my record and points are counted, I have to pay more auto insurance fee.(+20% or more for the following years? I have no idea how much will be added until now). What I hope is no point counted and no increased auto insurance fee after paying the bail or going to traffic school. What is the best statement when seeing a judge? I, a new guy in U.S., like your expert opinion.
By the way, is that possible a judge allows somebody to take a training school instead of paying a fine.

It will add a couple of points, don't know exactly ( sorry I did not look it up)
And yes the fine and/or points will be the same if you have a licence or permit.
If you don't have any other tickets getting one will not really hurt you that bad but it is never a bad thing to take a class so the points don't count.
