A Corpse's Nails Ccl471 03/27/06
I read somewhere online that it is an urban legend that the fingernails on a corpse continue to grow indefinitely.

It said that something happens, I forget what, that gives the nails the appearance, initially, that they have grown, so that if someone digs up a corpse shortly after it was buried it looks like the nails have grown longer.

So what is that something that happens that gives the nails the appearance that they have grown?

    Many thanks,

    C.L.
