Advanced Books on Health Care/Medicine for Laypeople Ccl471 02/24/06
I want to learn as much as I can about medicine without getting formal health care education. The most in-depth book in the "For Dummies" series is "Human Physiology for Dummies."

I'm going to read that book, along with "Nutrition for Dummies." Would I also need "Biology for Dummies?"

But I think I'll want to go even more in-depth, after reading "Human Physiology for Dummies" and "Nutrition for Dummies."

I don't know if the "Nurse's Quick Reference" series would be what I need. If you can recommend me something better, what would it be?

Please keep in mind that I need something as advanced as possible, but also if possible something that would not require that I get formal education in medicine in order to understand.

    Many thanks,

    C.L.
