Recent Research Finding about Weight Loss |

I just read an article on netscape.com about a Finnish study on weight loss. They found that people who lose weight intentionally through diet are just as likely to die young as those who are overweight and gain weight.
They said those overweight people in the study who lived longer were those who just maintained their weight, not gained or lost weight.
But is that really what I should do? Meaning maintain my weight? I'm male, 32 years of age, 5ƍ", 250 lbs. I am a borderline diabetic. I also have high triglycerides. I found on a website about weight loss that according to my height, weight, and bone structure that my healthy weight should be no more than 163 lbs.
If I just maintained my current weight, wouldn't that be bad for me?
Many thanks,
C.L.
