Preparing for an Audition |

Hi - The following is an excerpt of the audition process for drama school. I was wondering if you could please give me some hints on how to prepare for the audition.
"All applicants must prepare and present two audition pieces, a song (sheet music should be provided for the accompanist), and participate in movement, voice, and television workshops.
There are two audition rounds: in the first, applicants present their work; in the second, they take part in a workshop day of improvisation.
The final stage of the process involves an in-depth interview with the panel in which the applicant expresses their views on theatre, television and film and discusses their aspirations with the audition panel".
I'm concerned about preparing a song for the ausdition, because I have no experience in this field, or not much drama experience at all really. But I do have a passion for the theatre and a willingness to work hard. |
