Gay Marriage 2 Petesharky 05/18/04
Gay marriage is a choice that should be left to the participants. No one judges a straight couple who marries even if the guy is 5' tall and weighs 500lbs and the girl is a stunning beauty queen. It is not the business of the Church especially who houses so many closet homosexuals that just never knew how to handle their feelings and went into priest hood only to take out their frustrations on young boys and other priests.

What business is it of yours who gets married to who? What gives you or anyone else the right to say what is right or wrong, and to use the Bible to promote your hatred and prejudice?

Ignorant and stupid is no way to go through life.

Who are you to decide who can be happy and who can't just because you think what they are doing is wrong? I am sure I will get a load of quotes from the bible so I will post the first 2.

"Let ye who lives without sin cast the first stone."

    How about

"Judge not lest ye be judged."

My oldest brother who is 14 years older than me is gay and if he came home tomorrow and said that he was getting married I would be happy for him.

Hello Pete,

As a Christian I know I love Jesus and try very hard to follow his example. I was given the right to free choice. That does not mean that my choice will be another person’s choice. My choice will also not always be agreeable to another person.

We have no right to shove God's word onto another person either. As a Minister of the Bible, I truly believe that works two ways. I feel I have an obligation to teach what the Bible says, but I can not force another to believe what they do not wish to believe. I will teach and if you do not wish to hear it, I will move on and teach another who does wish to hear about God’s word. God Almighty did not make robots but living, feeling people. We all must make a choice for ourselves and then live with that choice. I also believe that just as I would not feel right to shove the scriptures down someone throat, it is not right for homosexuals to ask those of us who believe this ("to be offensive to them"), to condone or to approve of it. I am a firm believer in that if what I am doing offends you and what you are doing offends me, then why not just go our separate ways in peace?

Why must it be that we all must agree or war and hatred and prejudes come about? This world is big enough to house al types of persons. If a person does not like what another is doing, they have no right hate that person, or bring harm to them. We must be peaceable with all people. If we would be as Jesus taught us to be, then wars would not exist, nor hatred, nor prejudice.

I believe in this, as a Minister of God’s Word, I will do what I feel according to knowledge that I gain from God’s Word. If I come in contact with those who believe different or act different, I will always show my Christian love to them as human being and if what we believe is different then I will move on with my life and you can move on with yours. I have no right to judge you, nor do you have the right to judge me. In short, we each live the way we choice and in peace and leave the judging to Almighty God. And as for me personally, homosexuality is a sin, but then that is my free choice, is it not?

Take Care,
Hope12
