paint ball canisters |

Are the paintball holders/canisters on most guns clear, black, etc? Are there any manufactures that only make clear holders/canisters so one can know if there are still paintballs in the gun? Or, do you know how you can be sure, beside opening the canister/holder if there are any, and how many, paintballs in the gun?

those canisters are actually called hoppers ("loaders" is also an acceptable term). hoppers come in a variety of colors, including black, clear, smoke, red, etc. most hoppers have a clear lid to see how many rounds are left inside. some of the cheaper hoppers' lids are grey and very hard to see through. to get an idea of how many rounds you have left with one of those you'll have to open the hopper and check. the ricochet ak has a window on the side so you can see if your hopper's empty or not. the ricochet 2k has an empty hopper alert (it beeps when there's no paint left).
