When Jesus healed on a Sabbath, he broke the law. When he was crucified it was according to law. Indeed, it was said that the law required it.

First of all, there is a specific dispensation in Jewish Law to break the laws of the Sabbath for health reasons such as a danger to life or limb. So healing on the Sabbath is not, in and of itself, breaking the law.
Second of all, the penalty for breaking the laws of the Sabbath is stoning, not crucifixion. There is not penalty of crucifixion in Jewish Law. The only capital punishments in Jewish Law are stoning, burning, stabbing (sword or pike) and strangulation.
So, all in all, I would NOT agree with the statement.
