I'm having trouble hittting my 3 wood .I either top the ball or not hitting it at all. I've tried moving the ball in my stance, moving back and forward, I've tried to adjust my swing but nothing helps. |

Hello and thank you for asking... apologies for the delay... as for your question, it is difficult to answer without seeing or knowing anything about your swing. From your description alone, the main cause seems to be that you are swinging on an angle that is too much of an upswing near impact, or an uppcut swing in an attempt to get the ball airborne. The only shot you swing on an uppercut path is the driver off a ball teed up fairly high that is not into a strong wind. Otherwise, we try to use a level swing (like for the 3 wood) or a decending blow for mid to short irons and wedges. So for you, you would actually have to feel like you are swinging down to the ball rather than straight in order to correct your mistake. Making some baseball swings before the shot and trying to brush the grass lightly on your practice and real swing will help.

- Handicap - Distance hit with driver, 5 iron, SW - Avg putts per round - Avg and preferred ball flight depending on club - Tournament experience if any - Hours you do/can dedicate to golf improvement every week
